Parity is an organisation that helps young adults with multiple disabilities by providing them with a center to attend in the holidays as well as relief in their adult life. The organisation aims to provide these adults with opportunities to promote their independence by allowing them to plan trips and activities, integrate with the community and more generally, just enjoy themselves by assisting them to live as individuals. They are surrounded by friends and a great deal of care staff who are experts at managing the needs of the individual. Our relationship with Partiy as Owen's family has been nothing but positive and it truly is an organisation dedicated to providing a high quality of care in a much needed area.

They offer a 5 day a week service which Owen began to attend for the remaining weeks of his life. He also frequently attended their holiday schemes in the Easter period and a few of their summer schemes before Florida became his summer hot spot. Another great benefit was the Teen Scheme which Owen attended every week with a couple of friends and some very caring, dedicated staff to have fun, chill out and meet other young people.

Parity is a wonderful organisation which Owen received a great deal of benefit from and it would be wonderful if it could be provided some extra funding so that the joy, happiness and independence Owen received from Parity could be felt by others who require their services.
