A team will be running in the Oxford Half Marathon for Leo - who was stillborn in January 2016. The Legacy of Leo team are running to raise crucial funds for the prevention of stillbirths and neonatal deaths, and to support those affected by the loss of their babies. 

SANDS provided Leo's parents with resources, information and a memory box when Leo was born. This gave them precious memories and keepsakes that they will cherish forever, including footprint, casts and photos. They also support parents following a loss, through local support groups and a national helpline. 

SANDS are a leading charity in tackling stillbirth, focusing on research initiatives to combat the alarming statistic that 17 babies are stillborn or die shortly after birth each day, in the UK. With many other countries performing far better than the UK, there are a lot of initiatives working to reduce this number - with your support we can help.
