ELHT&Me's mission is to make a real and lasting difference to healthcare across our hospitals by introducing specialist equipment and investing in new technology, creating welcoming areas to be shared with everyone and providing those extras that make time in hospital more comfortable for all.

Story

ELHT&Me, the official charity of East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust (ELHT), last week launched an ambitious £1 Million Appeal and is encouraging local businesses, institutions and individuals to support it.As the NHS celebrates its 70th birthday this year, the £1 Million Appeal is raising money for new equipment, improving facilities and enhancing the patient environment at ELHT’s two acute (Royal Blackburn and Burnley General) and three community hospitals (Accrington Victoria, Clitheroe and Pendle). All the people of Blackburn with Darwen.

I’m raising money for them as I went in to hospital in early 2019 with breathing problems and was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital where I was taken to the CCU team and was put into a coma for a month whilst in the amazing care of the CCU team.
