This summer I will be setting out on the challenge of completing the Pennine Way Trail for Cancer Research UK. The trail covers 268 miles of the UK countryside, and roles across many popular areas of the country including the Cheviots, Hadrians Wall, the Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales.

It takes on average 16 days to complete the walk and I will be aiming to complete it in 14 days.

The walk weaves around some of the largest cities in England including Leeds, Newcastle and Sheffield. During my journey I will climb several of England's highest peaks, and traverse along many different types of terrain, and be subject to differing weather conditions. Starting just north of Sheffield, I will be walking north all the way to just past the Scottish border.

With your help, i'd like to raise money for the Cancer Research UK charity, to help continue there research into fighting cancer and developing new techniques to give more and more people a chance of improving their quality of life and helping other to continue theirs. 

The challenge is not only physically draining but also mentally, as I will be spending long periods of time isolated and far away from any form of civilization.
