Participants: This year's 'We've HAD It' team is the biggest yet - along with regulars Matt Smith, Altan Bekat, Giles Herman, Mehmet Kocum and Paul Buckley and their assorted children, we have promises from about a dozen newcomers. So the team should be 20-plus.

Story

WE'VE DONE IT: Safe to say all the We've HAD It' cyclists had an enjoyable ride on Sunday. I limited the pub stops to just one this year and that helped, otherwise they would have shut up shop at the finish line! This will be the last time I do the 40 miles and Harry and Elia will take part next year and I'll ride 20 or maybe 30 miles with them.

The event was great fun as usual, and big thanks to all the HAD team plus the Rotary team of marshals and volunteers.

The Welwyn Garden City-based charity HAD (Herts Action on Disability) provide a number of services for older and disabled people throughout the county and beyond. These services are: An equipment centre where customers can browse, try and buy from a huge selection of mobility products.

They can also obtain a free assessment from one of HAD's Occupational Therapists to make sure the product is right for them. A 24-hour accessible transport service, taking customers to work, medical appointments, leisure and shopping trips and holidays or anywhere they want and a driving centre providing assessments and lessons for people who want to get back on the road after a stroke, medical condition or road traffic accident.

The charity is independent and self-supporting having had its local government grant taken away in 2014. Local community fundraising has always been important, now it is vital.
