Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have for some time wanted to support a charity and, whilst it is a bit of a cliché,  give something back. I don't do running or swimming etc. but I do play golf, so what better way to raise money for a great cause than by  doing something I enjoy.

Anyone can go out and play a round of golf or two and I needed something a little more challenging. So what better than to start in Bangor, West Wales and travel over 500km via North Wales, Yorkshire, and Lincolnshire to finish at Great Yarmouth in what will be a very tiring week.

I have enlisted 7 other willing volunteers to help in the quest and we will be doing this Monday 19th June to Friday 23rd June.

So why The Children's Bereavement Centre? Having looked at a number of equally fantastic charities, this one struck a chord. My son's best mate died of Leukaemia at the age of just 11 and this had obvious effects, not just on his family but also on ours. We weren't aware of the charity and had to cope on our own.

You can be certain that your donation will be going to a fantastic cause and will help the Charity to help more people that suffer a loss.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

About the charity

The Children's Bereavement Centre is a unique and special place where children aged between 3 and 18 and their families who are affected by terminal illness or death of someone close can access the support and guidance they need. Thank you for your support.
