Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I managed to complete it, as predicted, the swim and cycle went well but the run was really tough, but elated when I completed it.  Thanks for all your support!

When I signed up for the half Ironman I did not realise just how difficult it would be for me - someone who has not done a triathlon before and someone who now realises that they are a terrible runner!!

The John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation are a local charity that help all sorts of people, home and abroad.  Pete and Linda set up the foundation following the death of their son and ensure that 100% of the money raised goes to worthy recipients - no one takes any salary or expenses from the charity, everything is done voluntarily.  They recently helped my son with mobility equipment, so I am keen to help give something back so other people can benefit too.
