Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

STEPS is a centre of excellence dedicated to helping children with cerebral palsy, Down's syndrome and other motor disorders to maximise their full potential.

The centre, based in Shepshed, provides support, free at the point of use, to children and their families from across the East Midlands.

This year, Steps celebrates their 25th anniversary since being founded as The Charnwood School for Parents, teaching parents to help their disabled children using the Conductive Education principles first taught at the Peto Institute in Hungary.

STEPS receives no government funding and has to raise £250,000 each year to provide this invaluable service. I know from helping at previous Steps fundraising events just how effective and efficient this small local charity is.

On behalf of the children and families helped by STEPS thank you for anything you can donate. Your support makes a difference! If you would like to know more about STEPS you can visit their website at www.stepscentre.org.uk or watch a short video by going to https://vimeo.com/299276236

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
