We fund medical research to find a cure for Parkinson's

Story

We are undertaking my first Marathon on April 14thin Paris. We, Ursy Walton (housemate from University) and Paul Holmes are raising money to help find a cure to Parkinson’s. This is after Paul's father Timothy Holmes was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in January 2018.

Parkinson’s is a progressive neurological condition whereby there is not enough dopamine. It affects 1 in 350 adults and there is currently no cure. The only treatment are for symptoms and some drugs to slow the progression. For more information visit https://www.cureparkinsons.org.uk/what-is-parkinsons

We have set a time of 4 hours or less for our first marathon. To give you an idea of times celebrities have set are: Will Ferrell finish it in 5;01, Shia LaBeouf (Transformer star) 4:35, Sarah Palin 3:59.
