Happy to report I finished in a time of 2 hrs, 50 mins & 44 secs.

Many of you will know that my mother (Iris) sadly passed away in July after a fairly short illness. One great comfort to us was that she spent her final days at the Sue Ryder home in Nettlebed.

The level of care they gave her was absolutely first class with nothing too much trouble.

I'd already started trying to get a bit fitter and lose some weight and have decided that I'd like to do the Reading half marathon in her memory with sponsorship proceeds going to the Sue Ryder organisation, any amount gratefully received no matter how small, or large for that matter.

To further motivate myself if I don't finish then I'll match all contributions from my own pocket thus doubling the sponsorship.
