The number of people diagnosed with cancer is growing, we're doing whatever it takes to help more people with cancer get the best care the UK has to offer, whoever and wherever they are. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

For those of you who do not know my wife and love of my life Sharmane Thompson is currently suffering from Hodgkins Lymphoma (a blood cancer that effects the lymphatic system) she is currently having chemotherapy to help her fight this. One of the main side affects of this treatment is hair loss. In an attempt to help my wife come to terms with her hair loss and the fact that she now wears a wig, we thought we would inject some humour into what is an otherwise testing and sometimes heart breaking situation by trying to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. We are asking for people to take selfies of themselves or in groups, wearing wigs to show your support to those who's fight is already so difficult, by donating what ever you can afford to our Macmillan page.

We would dearly like this to go viral, as did the ice bucket challenge and no make up selfies previously. So now its over to you, friends, family, work colleagues, strangers...show your support, show you have a sense of humour and show those with hair loss that they are not alone and that people out there really do care. Most importantly, let's raise money for an extremely worth while cause and have fun doing it.
