We provide a lifetime of care and support to the UK Armed Forces and their families

Story

Hello myself and my work colleague  are in training to take on the challenge for The Royal British Legion of cycling from London to Paris in just four days. We work in the food hall in Marks ans Spencer and we are the only two from the island of Ireland attending and will be joining with 84 staff members from M&S stores throughout the UK and Head Office to form a Marks and Spencer Team to take part in the event.

We will join with more than 350 other cyclists at Greenwich Park, London, on Thursday 1 September at the start of the Pedal to Paris bike ride to raise money for the British Armed Forces community.

During the challenge, we will cycle almost 300 miles through London, Kent and Northern France before finishing in Paris on Sunday 4 September where a service of Remembrance will be held at the Arc de Triomphe. Pedal to Paris is the only other cycling event next to the Tour de France, for which the Champs-Élysées is closed to traffic for the cyclists to cross onto the Arc de Triomphe.
