On Saturday 10th June 2017 I will be completing a slightly alternative triathlon, combining running, sailing and cycling, totalling a distance of up to 60km and raising money for Guide Dogs (Northern Ireland) along the way.
Sounds simple, well for the fittest of people it probably is, but at the time of writing this (mid August 2016) I am lucky if I can run the 200m in one go. I also have a diagnosis of Stargardts and registered as severe sight impaired as a consequence, which makes all three aspects of this a little more challenging.
Over the next 10 months I will be sharing my experience as I train and prepare for my personal challenge, as well as giving an insight into living with Stargardts and most importantly raising money for Guide Dogs.
