As a family we have seen the devastating impact this awful disease can cause, resulting in the loss of 3 of the most special people.  Not only was it impossible to watch the ones we loved suffer it was also terrible to see  the impact it had on those close to them.

I feel honoured to have the chance of representing Alzheimer’s Research UK at the Great North Run.  It may not be pretty and it may not be fast, but I will run it in memory of those lost and to help raise funds and awareness to hopefully find a cure.
