Event: Chartered Surveyors Charitable Trust Fund - Charity Abseil Event, on 9 September 2010

Story

On 9th September I've been roped (excuse the pun!) into abseiling down all 18 storeys of the London International Press Centre, in aid of The Chartered Surveyors Livery Company's Charitable Trust and the Lord Mayor's Charity.

The aim is to raise money towards funding education for inner schools helping underprivileged children.

The charity is also backing The Lord Mayor’s Appeal which will be supporting Coram (The Thomas Coram Foundation for Children) and RedR, a charity that provides training, consultation and support to relief organisations dealing with emergency response for natural disasters around the world.

I'd really appreciate any support you can give.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

We support external charities chosen by the Company's Charitable Board for the relief of poverty, advancement of education, awarding prizes and the establishment of libraries and other facilities for the members of the surveying profession or other recognised profession. It also supports the Lord Mayor's nominated charities. Funds are also raised from the annual Inter-Livery Swimathon.
