Last month, Our amazing sister Chantelle was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called pseudomyxmo peritonei (PMP) which affects one in a million people. The news knocked us all, it’s been a really tough and emotional journey but Chantelle has been the most strongest & bravest person which we couldn’t be any more prouder of! She has gone through 2 major surgeries within 8 weeks including HIPEC (heated chemotherapy pumped directly into the abdomen after surgery) and will also need 6 months further chemotherapy to beat it, however we are so lucky that the cancer was caught early enough to be treated. Heartbreakingly, this isn’t always the case.
We didn’t realise how unknown and rare this particular cancer is, so we are organising a 10k walk on 19th June with family and friends to raise money for this cause and specifically for a non-profit organisation run by patients and caregivers named Pseudomyxoma Survivor. The charity was created to support anyone whose life has been touched and affected by PMP, as well as appendix cancer and other peritoneal service malignancies and are also dedicated on raising funds for research. We would all be so grateful if you could donate anything, big or small, for our sponsored walk as it would mean the world to all of us as a family. If you are unable to donate, please spread the word so we can ensure that this small charity is able to raise more awareness so those affected by PMP are receiving the support they need to fight this.
Thankyou 💜
Love from Phoebe, Lylie & Emme xxxx
