Story

We're running the Chariots of Fire race this Sunday (16/09/2018).

As one of Cambridgeshire’s largest annual charity events, we'll be testing our mettle with two teams of six, each running a 1.7 mile course in relay format, all for Cambridgeshire Community Foundation (CCF).

If you're at the event make sure to look out for the Plextek Plotters and the Plextrekkers!

About Cambridgeshire Community Foundation

Many local young people in Cambridgeshire face real difficulties because of poor mental health, bereavement, long-term illness or disability.  Others have limited support and opportunity to develop and flourish because of the low aspirations or very limited income of their families.

CCF is a local grant-making charity that provides support to hundreds of community groups and voluntary groups across the county. Every year Cambridgeshire Community Foundation raises funds for the Cambridgeshire High Sheriff’s Awards rewarding projects that enable young people to gain new skills and confidence, such that they can volunteer in their community for the benefit of others.

Making a difference

CCF is setting out to making a real difference in the local community and by donating you will help provide opportunities that give local young people a new direction in life.

About Us

We are a group of 12 unfit but enthusiastic engineers and consultants for an electronic design consultancy called Plextek.

Completely unprepared and poorly exercised, we're stepping away from the variety of biscuits in our kitchen to help a charity that is hungry to help young people enjoy life-changing opportunities that would be hard to find otherwise.

We've all been training hard during our lunch breaks, hitting the calves instead of the cadburys, and we would like to urge you to give as much or as little as you can for this great cause.

And lastly,

Thank You
