Our daughter, Jessa, was born at 24 weeks & 6 days gestation, weighing just 1lb 9oz. In total Jessa spent 120 days in 5 NICU's travelling all over the country. Each NICU played their part in looking after Jessa but coming back to the Queen Elizabeth hospital in King's Lynn was like coming home. The staff were so understanding & supportive to our entire family that they became like family in the process.

Having your baby in NICU is quite simply terrifying &  we were at times 2 hours away from our other children. There's a whole new language that has to be learnt, so many machines & noises that are quite simply the difference between life & death. It is an awful roller-coaster of 2 steps forward & 1 step back..& all you can do is watch. 

Jessa is now 10 months old & although she has some challenges ahead, she is a much loved, gorgeous, happy little girl.  Saying 'Thank you' seems inadequate, so please help us by donating whatever you can afford to help QE NICU to keep providing the fantastic help & support that they do for future families.
