Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential. In the UK and around the world, we make sure children stay safe, healthy and keep learning, so they can become who they want to be.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am a full time scientist and a mum of 2 children.  I have been selected as one of 40 employees from 25 countries, spread across GSK's business, and from all levels of seniority to take on this amazing challenge of climbing the Rash Dashen and raising funds for Save the Children.

Together we will raise at least £184,000.  All money raised will go to Save the Children, and every penny will be matched by GSK. In March 2019, we will spend a life-changing seven days trekking up to the 4,550m peak of Ras Dashen in the Simien Mountains, and then visiting a local community to understand more about Save the Children's work in Ethiopia.

I have never done anything like this before. I thought being a full time working mum I would be 'reasonably' fit  - How wrong I am!!  I need 'create' time to step up my fitness training.  I  must be disciplined with the training, and most importantly start fundraising.  I am anxious but looking forward the challenge.

Thank you for supporting me and Save the Children !!!

P.S.: Administration fee is covered by GSK therefore when prompted please choose the "no" option.  100% of your donation will go to Save the Children, which will be matched by GSK.
