Story
This is what happens when I watch sport on telly.
Inspired by Sarah and Charlie at work (who have recently completed the Brighton and London marathons respectively) but being a total wimp who would never consider the whole 26.2 miles, I've decided to take my first baby running steps.
On Saturday 5th June at 11am, I will take part in the Race for Life 5km at Crystal Palace stadium.
Cancer Research UK is a charity close to my heart. Over the years I've lost two grandparents and a mother-in-law to the illness. I have friends and family who have been treated and are still living with it. It affects so many people, wherever you go. But with research, the prognosis doesn't have to be fatal.
I know times are tough, so any help - no matter how small - is really appreciated. And if I'm still alive at the end of it, you have my permission to laugh at my bandy legs and grimacing face. You can follow my laughable training sessions on Facebook and on my blog: http://suzannekavanagh.blogspot.com/
Thank you very very very much in advance.
