We are a team of 13 ladies running and walking Race for Life in Malvern Park, Solihull, on 26 June in memory of our wonderful friend and colleague Tina Carthy.

Tina, who worked with some of us as an auxillary nurse in the Liver Outpatients Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, lost her battle with a rare and aggressive form of breast cancer at just 44 years old.

Despite suffering enormously, Tina always made us laugh and her patients loved her. We know that if she'd been here with us she would have signed up for Race for Life and egged us on to get involved too! She was passionate about helping others and so we feel it's right to do this for her.

Our target is to raise £1,000 so please dig deep and donate.
