Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I was lucky/stupid enough to win a ballot place in the 2019 London Marathon. It started appearing on my bucket list a few years ago, but last year reality struck, that I actually have to enter the ballot or enter through a charity to actually take part. I went for a ballot entry......still the greater probability that I wouldn't get in......oh how wrong I was. First time entered and place secured. Ahhhh,
Now, I am a runner. Half marathons the maximum. I am also a supporter of charities and willing to challenge myself to benefit others. Last year I ran the London Landmarks Half Marathon for the MS society. My father has Primary Progressive MS. I want to raise funds for something my father is directly benefitting from. As a keen and proficient sportsman throughout his life, this debilitating disease has knocked him for six (no pun intended, but he does love cricket!!). What the Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire MS Therapy Centre offer him is hyperbaric therapy, hydrotherapy, access to specialist Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists, plus a wealth and knowledge about his condition, to offer support to not only my father but mother too and myself and my brother.
Please, if you are able, place a donation to the centre, through my just giving page, so that more people with MS in the surrounding area, can benefit from specialist therapy and support.
I'll keep you updated of my training progress and how you an track my progress during the race on Sunday 28th April 2019. I'll be the one setting the pace for Sir Mo Farah!!
