Alhamdulillah, in September I got the opportunity to visit Albania with Rahma Mercy; this journey was not only humbling but also eye opening. The most heart touching moment was meeting the Beqiri family.

Travelling in A FOUR BY FOUR up a mountain for around a hour or longer, we came to this little village called Labinot Katon. 

After meeting the young children, the imaam took us to the poorest house in the village. I was expecting it to be bad but SubhanAllah walking into this house left us speechless and left everyone in the room weeping.

A widow and two orphans living on a mountain, in a house which was barely fit for animals never mind humans, walls crumbling to the holes in the ceiling. The hardship this family must be going through only Allah knows. When the bag of basic necessities was passed over to them, you could see the shyness and embarrassment the mother was feeling due to her Haya -knowing she has to take food from strangers, allahu akbar it put her in tears.

After speaking to the family and the Imaam, the Imaam requested us to try do something about this house.

And now we are appealing to you. Lets take a muslim family out of this hardship, lets give them a decent home where the mother and family can live with dignity.

A family who has no income, no support but subhan’allah we got told how much of a strong practising family they are. So we can guess they have been lifting their hands and asking Allah to change their situation. 

Alhamdulillah, Allah is going to use us to do this - we are amongst the lucky ones to be able to help with this cause and Insha'Allah on Yowmal Qiyamah we will see the rewards of our support. 

So donate, whatever you can. 

Give from the wealth that Allah has blessed us with, as tomorrow this could be our situation. 

Lets not let down the orphans, as we are responsible for them, lets not let down the mother, as we are the ones who should be protecting them.

The total amount may sound a lot but compare this to the amount of Muslims and its nothing. 

One suffering Muslim should affect our heart so much that we strive to change their situation.

Before winter falls on them, before the snow reaches waist height Insha'Allah lets have a new home built for them by the will of Allah.

Target of £13,000 to rebuild the house of a widow and her two sons - because the Beqiri family deserve a #SafeHaven this winter.
