Hello,

I would like to first start by introducing you to Lucy Lintott, a 24-year-old force of nature from the North of Scotland. Lucy at the age of 19 was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). MND is a disease that affects the nerves in the brain and spinal cord and life expectancy is 2 - 5 years still with no cure. I write this not with the intention you will take pity on Lucy but rather take inspiration from her as she lives everyday to its fullest.

Since her diagnosis, Lucy has been busy setting herself an ambition and selfless bucket list, accepting and successfully completing challenge after challenge. My use of "selfless" must not go unnoticed because everything Lucy does is with purpose. To raise awareness of the disease and share her story far and wide and in doing so, has raised over £135,000 for Motor Neurone Disease to date. 

Lucy is the reason myself and my brother have signed up to do a 5 day trek across the Great Wall of China in September 2019. Our aim is to raise as much money as we can in the hope that one day soon a cure will be found. If that's not enough reason to donate then please just take pity on me.
