Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hello Everyone,
My Name is Rebekah Scott and my Fiancés Name is Luke Holliday. We both bought a ticket to be in the win a wedding for James Burns wish to walk. I'm chuffed to say the least I really wanted to be in the top 10 as want to have the chance to raise as much money as I can for James. Me and Luke would love to win the wedding but also love to raise lots of cash for James. I've met James before at a fund raiser iv been too held for him at the civic hall and he is a lovely kid that deserves to raise this goal of £60,000 for his operation.
A bit about James
When James (Who is a twin) was born at 27 weeks there were complications and he almost didn’t make it. He was rushed to Middlesborough Hospital and his brother Thomas stayed at Lancaster Hospital.
When he was 12 months old his parents noticed that there was something wrong with him. As he wasn’t doing the things this twin brother was doing he was then diagnosed with cerebral palsy. He also has chronic lung disease and can’t hear very well.
All this little boy wants is to be able to go out with his friends like any 14 year old would. James is in a wheelchair or using my walking frame so unable to do a lot of what this twin can do.
Now he has been told by a doctor in America that he can go to his hospital and have the operation. They have said that he will be able to walk and will be able to climb stairs, and sit and stand.
His goal is to raise £60,000 for Tree of Hope by July 2015. This will help fund the SDR operation and pay for physio and equipment that is needed to get back on his feet. He has already got £34,645.36 this 57% of his target I really hope that With Fund raising we are able to get him close to his goal as everyone has done so well so far :)
All for a good cause for any amounts are welcome
Thanks in advance
