Refugees are ordinary people plungied nto extraordinary and often horrific situations  war, conflict, and exile. Ordinary people like you and me who want what we all want - to live, love, and thrive, and for their family to live in safety. They want their children to go to school, make friends, and grow up in a community that loves and supports them. Ordinary hopes.

Sadly, in the U.K. those ordinary hopes remain dreams for refugees. They arrive full of hope, skills and determination. Unfamiliar with our immigration system, they are unable to defend their rights and can spend months or years living in poverty, not knowing if they can rebuild their lives, becoming increasingly hopeless and unwell. They cannot work or learn English. 

Refugee Action works to make those ordinary hopes a reality. They are campaigning with and for refugees to be able to learn English, to work, to have housing and financial support, and to have their claims for asylum treated fairly.  

Im doing this so that they can have what we take for granted everyday. With your support I know we can win!
