Having lost two grandparents to this disease I am aware of what a terrible illness it is. It strips away all that you knew of your relatives and the person that they were. It also leads to many families having financial problems due to the lack of integrated social care in the NHS and the need to pay for private care as a result.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

A cure is possible and the more we support organisations such as Alzheimer's Society the sooner it will arrive.
