Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Dad owned his Cortina from new since 1982. It's been resting in his garage since the early 1990's!!! Together with Dads great friend Graham Ellis, we have restored it over the past 18 month. A project which began shortly after Dad was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer. Sadly he never saw the car completed but his death sparked a further challenge in my mind. We hope our event will benefit many people in the future and carries on Dads support for Yorkshire Cancer Centres research to find a cure for this terrible disease, which has affected many of my close family and friends.

Our planned 2500 mile round Europe trip to Cortina D'Ammprezzo in Italy, driving with my twin brother Christopher in the completed Cortina  is our personal tribute to our wonderful Dad. It is also in memory for my best friend Jonathan Parkes who died in 2014 from bowel cancer and my beautiful Sister in Law Leanne Cain who passed away from a Brain Tumour in June 2015 plus a whole host of other friends and family taken too early by cancer.

Please give what you can to raise money towards our challenging £10,000 target, it's a very big challenge but nothing compared to what these three wonderfully brave people faced.....Lets try and fund the future research cure so that other people don't have to suffer the same fate.

Thank you
