Oh my god what have I done...

I never thought I would get the chance to run my first marathon having attempted to get a place for the last 5 or so years, so I thought this year i would try and see if I could earn a place through a charity that means something to me. Having tried a couple and got rejected I gave up hope of running in the 2018 London Marathon. Then a work colleague sent me an email from The South West Thames Kidney fund and they kindly offered me a place. Kidney disease is not something you hear people talking about much and yet it affects so many people. If I can raise money to help those that suffer with kidney problems then that will not only mean a lot to me but also for the charity that I am running for.

My dad has dialysis 3 times per week due to kidney failure and I know others who are friends,family of friends and close family that also have kidney problems. If i can raise money to go towards the research and treatment of this unspoken health issue then i will have made not only my dad proud but also those who suffer with kidney problems.   

I hope that with your support I can reach my target and in return I aim to complete the marathon within 4 hours and 30 mins.
