We fund research and provide support to improve blood cancer patients' lives

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

In 2013, Mark was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma.

In 2014 he had a life saving stem cell transplant at St James' Hospital in Leeds.

In 2015 he was placed into remission and in 2016 he will cycle from London to Paris with his wife, Alison, and some great friends as part of the Bloodwise London | Paris ride.

The research funded by Bloodwise helped the awesome NHS save Mark's life but the treatment is brutal; Bloodwise want to reach a point where all blood cancers can be cured without fear and suffering and that's why we're riding. Last year, our good friend Matt Allen died after a long fight against non-Hodgkin Lymphoma. He was 38 years old and cancer took him from his wife and two beautiful daughters.

Cancer is cruel and it does not discriminate but it can be beaten by funding the brilliant scientists who are now so close to understanding how we can tell our own bodies to attack the bad cells and remove the need for vicious, painful treatments.

L2P is a tough challenge - 500km in 4 days - so to raise as much sponsorship and awareness as possible, team #RideLikeFury would be forever grateful for your support to reach the point where blood cancer is beaten.
