Completed; please see www.wozzy.co.uk/2016.html !
Throughout 2016 I'm taking on a number of challenges to support the Leeds Children's Hospital Appeal.
Daniel was born 3 months prematurely and the neonatal unit at the LGI provided great care. The Children's Hospital has since grown around it and therefore I wish to support them as much as possible.
I've only just started to learn how to run and will take part in the Hull, Leeds and York 10k runs BUT also cycle to and from the events (from Leeds!)
*UPDATE* : The Hull 10k plus 200km of cycling - completed!
*UPDATE* : The Leeds 10k plus Daniel cycling - completed!
The super-challenge though is the aim to run the Yorkshire Marathon (York) and yes, including cycling to and from Leeds on the day.
Obviously the run/cycles aren't enough. Another challenge is to continue with the Nightrider series but this time in Liverpool. This time I will cycle there and back along the Leeds-Liverpool canal. This will make a total of 500km over the weekend.
*UPDATE* : About to set off on the 500km Liverpool event.
Leeds Children’s Hospital Appeal helps give the children and parents an improved experience whilst going through traumatic times. Recovery isn’t purely about medication, but love and play improves outcomes.
