Story
As a lot of you may be aware my dad passed away when I was 6. This obviously had a pretty devastating effect on our wee family. We eventually were referred to the Notre Dame Centre as my behaviour and emotions got more extreme and out of control. Through months of support and therapy they were able to get me back on track. In many ways give me my childhood back. I can't know where or what I would be without their intervention but I can't help but feel it would have been immeasurably worse than where and what I am today.
Running a marathon is going to be an incredible challenge for me - I've never really ran more than 10k and am pretty lazy when it comes to the idea of running any more than that. So I figured if I am going to ask for your money then I best do something that's goina push me. So here we are.
Its impossible to write one of these things without using a million clichés. But for want of a better phrase I am excited about the opportunity to give something back to these people who helped me and my family when we needed it. If you can help me to do that I would be eternally grateful along with the countless families this service have and will support in the future.
