When I woke up in University Hospital Coventry in September 2010 I had to learn how to walk, talk, balance and all the things you take for granted on a day to day basis. Helping me through that were the wonderful nursing staff, Physios and Occupational Therapists who I continue to talk to on a regular basis as I now work as a volunteer on the acute stroke ward.

Whilst at the hospital I was introduced to the Different Stokes charity (some general info is in an story earlier in this blog) and it is them that I have chosen to support through my adventure.
