By doing this 11 mile walk through the night in Central London I am hoping to raise as much money as I can for Maggie's Centres and the wonderful, supportive work they do. 

Having lost far too many family members and friends through cancer, I am keen that as many people as possible benefit from the work and help offered by Maggie's Centres during those tough, emotional times. 

I love walking and I love London so this seems a great way to put my favourite things together and help others. The big challenge will be walking through the night and I have never done a mass event like this before. I am walking with my 'Brentham Morning Walking Ladies.'  We do a 7.30am walk in our local park on Tuesday and Thursday - to be honest, we only walk for 40 minutes, discussing films, theatre and having a good catch up - it really is 'a stroll in the park' so we will have to step it up quite a bit to make 11 miles!

Please help me to achieve my goal when I walk on Friday 16th September.
