Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
My name is Rose Stringfellow and this year I am fundraising for The Children's Society because of the vital work they do with vulnerable young children.
There are currently 3.9 million children living in poverty right now. And that is just within the UK. The Children's Society is a charity that tackles key issues such as child poverty head on by challenging the misconceptions surrounding them, and influencing government polices to help make these vulnerable children's lives safer.
Alongside children in poverty, The Children's Society also works with families in debt, young runaways and children suffering from sexual exploitation. These are the people that often fall through the gaps and are forgotten about. They rely on charities like the Children's society so they can make their voices heard.
One of the main reasons that drew me into this challenge is the important work that the charity does with child refugees. It is a topic that I feel very passionate about. How can we let these children that have already been let down so much already by their own countries to suffer more in our country which has so much to give?
£2,800 might not sound like a lot of money, but I believe it can go a long way in helping to give those disadvantaged young children a better chance in life.
Please help and support by donating today, and be reassured that you're making a difference to a child's life.
Thanks,
Rose
