This year, I'm doing the Glasgow half marathon to raise money for Breast Cancer Research UK. Breast cancer will develop in 1 in 8 women in their lifetime, and is the most common cancer overall in the UK. It is a cause that is close to many, and since a close family friend was diagnosed last month, my awareness of it's devastating effects on the victims and families involved has greatly increased. So please give all you can, and I promise to run really really fast for you!
