Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On the 25th May 2019 I will be tackling the London to Brighton 100km ultra marathon challenge to raise money for Behcets UK. Many of you who know us well will know that my wife Jo has been suffering from Behcets Syndrome for the last 10 years. Behcets Syndrome is an auto-immune disease, which leads to swollen and painful joints, causes severe fatigue and has a host of other nasty side effects including outbreaks of ulcers and sores, blurred vision and headaches. There is no cure and the treatment process can be very much one of trial and error, which unfortunately to date has not been particularly successful in Jo's and many other sufferer's cases.
Behcets UK provides support to sufferers of the disease in many ways and has been a source of comfort and advice for us both, through some of the regular support groups and awareness days they run. They are also committed to finding ways to ease the symptoms of the disease and aid research that we hope will one day eliminate this disease.
If anyone can spare a few pounds to support this fantastic cause it'd be very much appreciated.
