The Ribble Way Challenge · 18 June 2011
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
On 18 June 2011 we are walking the Ribble Way from the Ribblehead Viaduct to the Dolphin Inn at Preston, a distance of 100km.
100km (62 miles) in 30 hrs is a 'challenge' in anyone's language, the compensation being both the raising of funds for a very good cause, and the personal satisfaction in the completion. Our training walks are telling us that this is quite a challenge for us all, including our support crew (Tony Fletcher and Claire Holland). We have to overcome the night walking bit, managing our exhaustion and staying together. The most we have done as a team is Worcester to Birmingham - 30m in 11 hours.
Pictures show David map reading on the Severn Way, the boys holding each other up after walking Worcester to Birmingham, and Sue resting on the Cotswold Way.
