Story

On the 30 August 2014 the TWGGS Ghana team will be walking 30miles along the South Downs way to raise money for the Ghana Education Project, a UK registered charity supporting the development of education in Nkwanta, a deprived area of North East Ghana. I am lucky enough to be part of a team of 15 girls trying to raise £50,000 towards the building of a new school in the region and we will be visiting Ghana in October. All money raised goes directly to the charity and does not go towards the cost of our trip.

About the charity

The Ghana Education Project works in the region of Nkwanta in North East Ghana. It seeks to promote the development of the local community through education, training and the associated infrastructure. Our pioneering Girls’ School opened in September 2013. http://www.ghanaeducationproject.org.uk/
