Hello, 

As 'Miss Teen Middlesbrough Galaxy 2016/17' I have decided that I would like to fund raise for The Christie Charity. To do this I am planning on bungee jumping off the 160ft tall Transporter Bridge in Middlesbrough. I'm not a lover of heights so this will be quite a challenge for me!

Cancer will affect 1 in 3 of us at some point in our lives, but we all know someone who has either battled or is battling cancer. It is an awful disease and one that with more research a cure may able to be found.  

The Christie treats more than 40,000 patients a year. The first-class care they provide means they have some of the best survival rates and lowest infection rates in the country. They also offer a wide range of extra support services such as counselling, complementary therapies, a wig service and a patient information centre.

The Christie site has been ranked as the best in the UK, with much of their work having an impact world-wide. As such, they are recognised as an international leader in cancer research and the Christie is
home to the largest early phase clinical trials unit in the world.
