Members of the SWEDA team are walking 25 miles to celebrate 25 years of supporting people affected by eating disorders across Somerset and Wessex. We will be retracing the SWEDA journey by visiting each of the locations that SWEDA has been based at over these years.

This nostalgic journey will begin in Shepton Mallet, the home of the original support group which gave SWEDA it's roots; from there we will be stomping through the farms, footpaths and tracks of Somerset until we reach Street, where we were based for many years. Here we will be visiting one of our generous sponsors 'White Stuff' at their store in Clarks Village, where we will be topping up our supplies before setting out on the next leg of our journey.  

There will be a brief interlude where the team will be taken by car to the start of the second leg in Glastonbury. From this point we will be marching forth to Wells, where SWEDA called home for three years; here again we will be supported by the Wells White Stuff store before embarking on the last leg of our epic journey!

The final leg sees us traversing the beautiful East Mendip Way with its steep inclines and varied terrain to test the resilience and stamina of our weary limbs. Finally ending at our current residence, back in Shepton Mallet.

This journey will see us walking 25 miles to honour and celebrate the 25 years of commitment, passion and courage shown by every person who has been part of the service in any way, volunteers, staff members, trustees, clients, funders and supporters.
