The Why.

The new UK Police Memorial will honour the dedication, courage and sacrifice of many of the thousands of members of the UK Police service who have given their lives to serve and protect their communities since the establishment of the worlds first recognised police service over 250 years ago.

With your gift, you will be honouring the courage and sacrifice of the men and women of our Police service who have laid down their lives to protect us, and all who serve so bravely every day.

Where/When.

On Friday 17th August 2018 a touch rugby tournament will take place at Pandy Park, Tondu, Bridgend CF32 9EN at 13:30 hours for a 14:00 kick off.

Post tournament refreshments will take place at Tondu R.F.C. Pandy Park, Aberkenfig, Bridgend,CF32 9RE.

The Event.

To ensure the team fully commit, entry to the tournament will be afforded to the first 16 teams to donate £20 via this just giving link. Consideration will be given to allowing another 8 teams if demand dictates.

Upon making a donation please state clearly your team name (Please ensure that the name is sensible as this is a charitable family event).

Following entry please email karl.stephens@south-wales.pnn.police.uk with your team name and contact details for the team leader.

You will be sent the event times along with the rules and format of the tournament.

In its basic form the tournament will be made up 16 squads.

Squads can be made up of a maximum of 10 players in total.

Games will be played with 6 players per team on the field of play with rolling substitutions.

Each team are allowed to be made of same sex or mixed sex players.

Players of all abilities are welcome.

This is event is primarily aimed at raising money but just as important is the ethos of bringing together the community under the rugby family umbrella. It’s all about having fun!!!

Equal importance is placed Upon the social aspect post tournament back at Tondu RFC where you will be warmly welcomed and entertained.
