Coventry Cyrenians is a small, independent charity which supports homeless and vulnerably housed people to rebuild their lives. I have been a Trustee for Cyrenians for over 10 years and the services we provide are increasingly vital for such a marginalised group.

Through providing accommodation, support and  training opportunities Cyrenians enables  people to  enhance their life chances and empowers them to live as independently as possible:

• Over half the people we see are experiencing mental health challenges.
• Almost a quarter are sleeping rough when we accommodate them.
• Over 90% of people leaving our service report improvements in one or more areas of their lives.
• About a quarter of our residents obtain paid employment by the time they move on from us, many benefitting from our own employment and training opportunities.
