16 years ago my grandad was diagnosed with MND sadly only 6 month later he lost his battle with this horrendous disease. 

I put on a pair of trainers back in September 2018 with my slimming world group to earn some body magic stars doing couch to 5k having not done any running since I was at school. The first couple of weeks I thought I was going to die having to run for a whole 90 seconds, 9 weeks later I managed to run my first 5k without stopping. In February 2019 I had come on leaps and bounds and did my first 10k, l now run at least 3 times a weeks loving everything about running. Skip forward to October 2019 I am now going to run my first Half Marathon (21K) , grandad would have said I am mad but he would have been proud I'm sure. 

This is my first chance to give something back to help find a cure for this disease
