Swim Serpentine 2017 · 16 September 2017 ·

We believe every moment matters so we go above and beyond to help our patients and their families make the most of every moment they have left. All our services are free of charge. We receive a 26% of our funding from the NHS and rely on donations to raise the extra £12m we need each year.

Story

This year I'm taking to the waters of London's Serpentine Lake again to try raise awareness and funds for the Royal Trinity Hospice to help them to continue providing wonderful end of life care and support as they did for my Grandmother and our family when she passed just over a year ago.

On the 16th September, a week before what would of been my Grandmothers birthday, I will taking the plunge again for a 1 mile open water swim. This will be my second open water competition, so I would like to take the opportunity to swim in her memory and try to beat last year's time of 00:55:45.

Please donate what you can to a very worthwhile cause, even if its £1, as everything helps immensely.  You can donate online by clicking the buttons on the right, pledging in person or even by text.

To donate by text, please text SSAM80 £5 to 70070 or replace the £5 with the amount you are happy to donate (eg SSAM £3).  Please remember to add GiftAid if you are eligible as HMRC will add 25p for evey £1 donated.

(The whole amount is donated and the only additional charge could be that of a standard text message)

Thank you for your support
