Hi, all

I ran 5k today. Allegedly it was a FUN RUN. Let me tell you, there was nothing fun about it at all. I'm out of shape, overweight and past my best. I HATE running.

Obviously, I came last! No. Seriously. And this fact was advertised all the way round the hilly course by the Marshall who accompanied me wearing a tabard that said, LAST RUNNER. (!)

I wanted to give up within 5 minutes of starting. In fact I didn't want to do the thing at all! The warm up for the children's 3k had done me in.

However, I DID do it. Without the aid of a paramedic (who did ask me if I was asthmatic. I'm not.) And the thing that stopped me from giving up all the way round, every torturous step? The thought of our primary PMLD kids and the sensory garden we hope to create for them.
