Second Chance Animal Rescue, registered charity no. 1002511, is based in Southampton. We are a small rescue that deals with dogs, cats, small animals, and wildlife. We have a dedicated team of volunteers that enable us to help as many animals as we possibly can. For over 40 years we have been helping animals find new homes that they can be happy in, but as always, there are more animals that need help than there are homes. Some of the many things we do here are: - to hand-raise orphaned animals, and in the case of wildlife, release them back into the wild when they are old enough; vaccinate and microchip all animals for rehoming, and treat any illness or injury of the animals in our care. We rely on donations from supporters in order to continue our work, so we are always very grateful for any donation big or small.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I got a place in the London Marathon via the ballot and wanted to use  my place on the run to help two causes that are important to me: CRPS UK and Second Chance.

Second Chance, in memory of my Staffy “Mitzy” whom my uncle rescued from a violent life with a drug dealer. We changed her life around and she became one of the loving and loyal dogs I have ever met.

Second Chance help abused and abandoned animals and I want to help towards the awesome work they do for these animals.

The money raised will mainly help towards vet bill, food, heating etc
