Transforming from keyboard warrior (IT Systems Coordinator) to Aztec Warrior, I am representing TLH Leisure Resort's Aztec Gym at Torquay's Ultra White Collar Charity Boxing event in aid of Cancer Research UK on Friday 16th July.

UWCB events raise money for Cancer Research UK, who are the world’s largest charity dedicated to saving lives through research. Their vision is to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. 

Training twice weekly at Fightworx Gym in Torquay, I am also hitting the gym in my spare time, in order to prepare for his bout. As my training progresses I will then be paired with my competitor who I will later face in the ring.

What has inspired me to take part?

“I decided to sign up for this event for two reasons, the first being to try and raise money for such a worthwhile charity and secondly to improve my fitness and show people that anyone can get in shape and live a healthier life. So far all the training is certainly pushing me to my limits and beyond, so whilst I am exhausted after each session, I feel much better for it already!”
