Well anyone who knows me, will be thinking "trekking" is not Sarah, has she gone mad?? A 10 day trek, up to 8 hours of trekking a day & basic accommodation?? I'm more of a 5* hotel, sipping cocktails in the sunshine kind of girl! So this is what makes this challenge for me and why the fundraising is so appropriate.  This is something way out of my comfort zone, so surely worth a donation alone!! 

Bliss is a charity close to my heart. Two important people in my life have been affected by pre-term births and experienced the stress and trauma this can bring. They were taken care of and supported by wonderful people and thankfully after their early start in life, Thomas is now a healthy,  handsome 15yr old and Emily a healthy, beautiful 1yr old. I'm doing this for them, for the fight they had in those early days, the fight they still sometimes have and to help ensure many more are given the opportunity to fight. Not being able to hold your baby, feed your baby and share them with the world is just the tip of the iceberg for parents of those born too soon but something which can have such a huge impact as I can only imagine. Spending weeks, months in the special care baby unit is not how you imagine your baby's life to start. Bliss helps support parents and babies through these times and continues to support research into the subject, something vital in order to keep healthy and happy the many more Thomas & Emily's entering the world!
