Story
Summer 2013 I am going on an expedition with 14 other people to Leh, Ladakh in the foothills of the Himalayas. During our five weeks out there we will be teaching English to children ages 6-14 in a local school through interactive games, songs and fun activities, as well as giving our hand in the renovation of the impoverished infrastructure that was hit hard by the August 2010 flooding.
Our trip is run with FutureSense Foundation, which is an organisation that works towards the development of local communities by providing volunteers (such as ourselves) which is further strengthened by providing financial support to the various projects.
The £1300 raised through this JustGiving page is donated directly to Futuresense Foundation, helping local communities all over the world who are less fortunate than ourselves. Any money you can donate will make a huge difference to the people this money goes to, and will help me reach my goal of £1300.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now, and I can ensure you I will keep you all posted with photos and stories I experience on my expedition.
